Empower Ministries

Ellen Kelsey is an ordained minister and the founder and CEO of Empower Ministries. In 2023, God burned this ministry into her heart to see people set free from bondages through the power of the Word of God. It is her passion to impart the revelation of Scripture to the people God sets before her.   

Over more than 40 years of serving in the church worship band, speaking at various conferences, and teaching in the classroom, Ellen has seen God’s people wrestle between the lies of the enemy and the freedom Jesus Christ came to give them. She knows they can only experience true freedom through the application of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, the power of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and knowledge of the Word of God. The Bible states that the knowledge of the truth will make us free (John 8:32), so she teaches the Word wherever she goes.

God gave Ellen the name “Empower” for this ministry. The word means, “to enable and give someone the authority and power to do something.” It also means, “to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights.” This definition of the word “empower” embodies the passion in Ellen’s heart and the goal of Empower Ministries to see the prisoners set free!
